Participated in the tourism-related business meeting “WTM” and Nordic networking event.
2024.12.17TAS Co., Ltd. participated in the “World Travel Market (WTM),” Europe’s largest travel and tourism trade show, held in London, in collaboration with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). At the event, we set up a joint booth with JNTO and various facilities from across Japan, engaging in highly productive meetings with approximately 80 agents over three days.
One of the key areas of interest was the demand for insights into “Hidden Gems” beyond the Golden Route (the traditional tourist circuit). Our proposal of the “Rainbow Route,” which includes destinations like Matsumoto, Takayama, and Kanazawa, received an excellent response. Building on this enthusiasm, we are committed to developing more compelling content that will inspire visitors from distant regions, such as Europe and North America, to return to Japan repeatedly.
In addition, we participated in the Nordic Networking Event (Finland and Norway) hosted by JNTO. With the launch of direct flights between Finland and Japan, the country has become more accessible, and we were deeply impressed by the enthusiasm of agents planning trips to Japan.
We are confident that these new connections with agents from Europe, the Nordic countries, and other regions worldwide will significantly contribute to promoting Japan as a travel destination in the coming years. Leveraging our strength in creating tailor-made tours, we will continue to design exceptional travel experiences that meet our customers’ unique needs and preferences.

Agusta : I gained valuable insights into the latest trends in the travel industry as well as in-depth knowledge about tourism in the Nordic countries. Additionally, the event provided an excellent platform for global networking, allowing me to engage in meaningful discussions with industry professionals and make valuable connections that could lead to future business opportunities.
Momoko : In Northern Europe, I conducted sales calls amidst the cold outside air, something rarely experienced in Japan. The agents welcomed me warmly with hot tea and a calm, gracious atmosphere. This encounter made me genuinely realize that this region is a market I want to cherish the most moving forward.
