Travel Fair in Yokohama

there was the travel fair calls “Travel Mart” in Yokohama.
many travel agnecies from oversea attend this fair and we had great time
for meeting. actually this was our first time to attend the travel Mart
but it was really good opportunity to meet up with agencies oversea.
we will attend this fair next year again!

We totally enjoyed our time in Hokkaido with Ronnie Tan as our tour
director. His patience and responsible attitude really made our
holiday worthwhile.
He went out of his normal duty to make addtional arrangements is
highly appreciated.
He is very efficient and organized, friendly, helpful, humorous and
entertaining. We believe all those in the tour group enjoyed the tour
very much mainly due to Ronnie being an excellent tour guide.
Ronnie’s handling of food and lodging arrangements was also excellent.
We hope to have another tour of Japan with tour guide provided by TAS
in the near future.
Thank you for giving us a memorable holiday in Hokkaido.

Tokyo Bay Fireworks

there is fireworks in Tokyo bay today.
Around Tokyo, there will be fireworks somewhere every weekend.
People just go to see it with beer and friends.
Fireworks make us feel summer has come!

Nigata Trip

I and my friend went to Shiozawa in Nigata prefecture to enjoy summer of resort place. We departed my house at Friday night, and it does take about 4 hours drive to get resort place. When we arrived, hot springs are waiting for us. It was soooo nice!!

We also went restaurant called “Keyaki Tei” to eat Open egg omelet & rice!

I would say that this restaurant has the best Open egg omelet & rice in Japan!! Uhhh, Yammy!!

At night, we went to Japanese Sake Bar (Izakaya) called “Yakushi”, to have a dinner & some nice Japanese Sake!! Nigata is not only known as Ski resort but also known as a source of Japanese SAKE!!

It’s nice to visit Yuzawa area in summer too. In the morning, we went to visit a fishing park. I felt it’s a nice place to have some fun with family, friends, and girlfriend & boyfriend. This fishing park has a BBQ place, so you can have a trout BBQ lunch (you just fished) after fishing.

We also visit Yuzawa & Gala ski resorts. First, we took The Yuzawa Kogen Ropeway to reach hillside of the mountain (Elevation 1,172m), and you can see the magnificent view of the town and surrounding area. At the top of the mountain there is a mountain-side toboggan run (706m) and a beautiful Alpine Flower Park featuring hundreds of varieties of seasonal flowers.

Summer season just started!

We went to Manazuru & Yugawara to enjoy the beginning of the beach season!Today is the day before the opening of a beach ceremony, also there were not many people at all!
So we enjoyed first season of summer.

Early in the evening, we went to a hot spring for relax!! It was so nice to get in hot spring especially after having fun at the beach. We spend about 1 hour at hot spring

Late in the evening, we held a BBQ dinner party. Beer is really it when you are thirsty in summer evening!!!

Next day, we went to a rocky shore to get a shell for lunch BBQ!! Luckily we got a several shells for Lunch BBQ

Tanabata!

Yesterday (7th July) was a Tanabata Festival (Japanese Fastival). Nowadays, we called it as “A Day of Lovers,” because it celebrates the meeting of Vega (Orihime) and Altair (Hikoboshi). The Milky Way (Amanogwa), a river made from stars that crosses the sky, separates these lovers, and they are allowed to meet only once a year on the seventh day of July. Usually we hang some paper strips (Wishes for the near future), to the Bamboo tree.

Tokyo Tower

I went to visit Tokyo Tower one of the symbol of Tokyo yesterday, and it was awesome!! Tokyo tower has become dating spot; there were a lot of couples and few numbers of families. Almost everyone who was in Tokyo Tower looks so happy : DI recommend you to visit Tokyo Tower at Night!! You could see different scenery of Tokyo Tower.　It’s better to bring a camera with you!!

A group of us consisting 80+ people from Singapore had organized an Art Exhibitions Tour to Osaka and Tokyo of Japan on 14 to 21 Jun 2008. The trip was in turn lead by the local tour guides from Tokyo Asean Service Co Ltd. As the group was large thus broke into 2 buses. The group of 40+ of us were privileged to be lead by Miss GiGi Chium. We were greatful to have her with us and enjoyed ourshelf for the entire trip.

Her multi lingual; Japanese, Mandarin and English broke down the conversion barrier. Her knowledge of Japan’s history, culture and captivating way of expression kept us attention and understood. She constantly cracked jokes and lively interaction with the entire bus load of us had made our trip an enjoyable and memorable one. She also have us well group and organized, we were thus able to managed ourselves well such that we are responsible to our own group and returned to the gathering point in time for the subsequence visits. Further to that, her human relationship was excellence and she handled some difficult “customers” or to the extend of unreasonable character of the people outside our bus with ease and confident.

We would like to thanks Tokyo Asean Service Co Ltd to have GiGi Chium in our group and also would like to extend our appreciation to GiGi Chium for her professionalism. We are also proud of her as she really made Singapore proud by excelling outside Singapore and also well accepted by all international travellers.

We really enjoy the trip and certainly would like to have her leading us again in out next trip to Japan, may be Hokkaido…some days later.
